The question
about knowing our 237 Anglophone showbiz actors keeps flowing back and forth
through my mind on a daily basis. This kind of self-interrogation is as a
result of the fact that I have unfortunately come to the realization that most
of us, lovers of good music, producers and or promoters seem not to be aware of
the blossoming talents that surround us. Either we actually have no knowledge
of upcoming artists, or we haven’t made any efforts to find out whether there
are such budding talents around us or we are simply negligent to recognize or
affirm the existence of such talents.
This said, I
still hold strong to the believe that there seems to be an incurable syndrome
of what we call in local parlance as “bad belle”. This translates into our
phobia of what we haven’t even explored musically or otherwise. Anglophone
Cameroonians seem to just despise new talents either simply because these are
guys they know from the block or people they believe have nothing to offer ‘showbizcally’.
Well, if we intend to grow and sign our name as “237 ANGLOPHONE SHOWBIZ
COMMUNITY” on the map of African entertainment and the world as a whole, we
must then tend to explore those we suspect have the talent, no matter how small
it is. We must promote our own, help the rest of the silent majority in the
country come to the realization that there is someone around us doing something
that can actually spur our entertainment community into the heights of fame and
glory.
NIVO TI THE
UPCOMING AFROBEATS RAP SENSATION ON THE BLOCK SET TO RELEASE TOP RATED EP EARLY THIS MONTH
This talented
dude from the block, the ‘lyrical spit-fire katouska’ is one hell of a song
dragon hailing directly from the talent cook-pot of 237’s Anglophone artistic
world. After several video releases, including the recent “Aller et Retour”,
Nivo Ti aka HolyBoy, Cameroon's top-rated uprising AfroBeats and Reality rap
sensation is said to release his first ever EP entitled "Just Imagine".
In an
exclusive chitchat with the young artist, Kwata Vibes gathered that his soon to
be released EP is a great project emotionally glued to his musical heart. Nivo,
confided that, this project will see a wonderful composition of seven (7) club
banger hits and songs. In his own words, Nivo Ti describes this new project as
"The best ever EP/Album that will come from Cameroon this year." Of course,
I have faith that this will be some shit to listen and rock to. His lyrical
prowess captured in his constant use of Anglophone Cameroon’s street reality
and captivating well-styled pidgin sure guarantees the mind blowing effect this
EP is going to have on music lovers.
Signed to The Blink Zone Empire, Nivo Ti revealed to
Kwata Vibes with the concurrence of his record label that the EP is a “collection
of potential hit songs” with a new trend of feelings embedded in them. Without much
ado about nothing unless it be music, Kwata Vibes urges this young talent to
forge on and drop this awaited album to grace the ears to 237 Anglophone music
lovers and those of Africa and the world.
Lyrically,
Nivo Ti is as earlier intimated, noted for his constant use of Street Reality
and daily facts of the Cameroonian and African experience in his songs, he
explains that “Just Imagine” EP is a new approach to urban music that will unstoppable reshape the landscape of the 237 Music Industry. Of course, how can
one afford not to concur with this declaration when it is sure that Nivo is a
trust-worthy young rapper representing in all dimensions the Cameroon and African
hip hop culture.
