The story continues that Prophet Abiekunogho allegedly
promised Sayou, through the guest minister, that in a month’s time, he-Sayou
will receive whatever he had donated to the church ten folds. According to
Sayou the victim: “The guest pastor gave me honey to drink and mandated me
to do change of ownership of the vehicle immediately. Thereafter, I went to a
shop, bought a nylon bag and packed all my belongings and went home.” He continued
that, when he woke up the next day, he started looking for his car and his wife
reminded him that he had sown it as a seed in the church. After several months,
nothing seemed to be working for this pour victim. He regained his senses and
on the 14th of March 2018, he reported the case to the Federal
Police and the said Prophet Abiekunogho was arrested, remanded in custody and
later brought infront of the Federal Judge.
While awaiting the closure of this case, we must not forget
that similar stories like these are now very prevalent in today’s world
especially in the less developed and developing worlds of Africa. It is not
also uncommon to hear of shady dealings by pastors and other clerics of churches.
Pastors, prophets and prophetesses have sprung up from the blues and claim to
deliver prophecies and miracles. The proliferation of churches in Africa have
of course warranted the blossoming of these triads runned by fake pastors and
prophets who claim to preach the Word. Also, the hunger of many poor African
peoples for miracles and breakthrough has now served as manure that nourishes
this mafia of church ministries that fill up streets in most towns and cities
in Africa. My dear people, we must be vigilant, we must be strong in prayer and
work hard rather than depend on some miscreants for deliverances and
breakthroughs in our lives. May God deliver us all from these fake prophets.
ALL ABOUT THE VIBES.
